Course Overview
Designed for Vietnamese international students studying in South Korea, this course provides a general overview of Korea. It aims to equip students with an introductory-level understanding of the broader field of Korean Studies, covering the history of mutual exchanges between Vietnam and Korea, alongside the nation’s economics, politics, and culture.
Learning Objectives
1. Understand the history of interactions between Korea and Vietnam from past to the present.
2. Comprehend the core components of Korean Studies, encompassing the nation’s history, economy, politics, and culture.
3. Analyze the concept and developmental phases of the global Korean Wave (Hallyu) phenomenon and examine its influx into Vietnam and its socio-cultural impacts on Vietnamese society and its people.
