Course Introduction
This course examines the regional characteristics and dynamism of South Korean democracy by exploring major political and social events in contemporary South Korea and the controversies that surrounded them.
Learning Objectives
1. Students will learn about the political and social events and changes in each period of contemporary South Korean history through the study of specific incidents.
2. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the various layers of South Korean democracy through the debates related to democracy that accompanied each event.
